ELD Administrative set up begins in the Manage tab, at the top of the left hand menu.

Verify that the correct company is displayed in the Name field. Please Contact GPS Trackit to report any errors.

A series of icons will appear to the right. For Home Bases, select the icon in the middle.

Home Bases are the yards where Tractors and Trailers are kept when not in use. Every Tractor, Trailer and Driver must have a Home Base assigned to them, which means Homes Bases must be addressed first. The first Home Base will be pre-created, based on the shipping address given when the order was placed. This will appear on the platform as Home Terminal.

Home Bases must be based on the physical address for the yard. NOT an off-site office or PO box. The air-miles distance from the Home Bases dictates when certain DOT rules will start to apply so the terminal must be based on that physical location. Please use the edit button to check over and make any corrections to the existing Home Base.

For companies with more than one yard, as many Homes Bases as needed can be created using the New button to the right corner.

Make sure each Home Base has a unique name, in order to prevent mix ups. Enter the property address, then press Get Coordinates to obtain the Latitude and Longitude and the Time Zone.

Be sure to Save the Home Base.

Homes Bases can be edited or deleted as needed.
